Well, we officially have our first broken bone. The 9-year-old decided he was going to try and vault off the top of the jungle gym at the park. Spoiler alert: he is not Spider-Man. One frantic Uber ride later and we spent six hours in the emergency room. My feet are covered in blisters because I was wearing my 1960s block heels and didn’t have time to change. Jon showed up at the hospital, which was good, but he stood on the opposite side of the room the entire time. He barely looked at me. He just checked on our son, talked to the doctor, and left as soon as the cast was on. I am too exhausted to even process what that means right now. I just want to sleep for a week.
